ACADEMIC YEAR 2010/2011




Wed 15th to Fri 17th June Oral Examinations (Middle School will be closed and pupils will have scheduled appointments for their individual exams).
Monday 20th June Written examinations (during normal school day): Grade 6 English, Grade 7 Languages, Grade 8 Mathematics.
Tuesday 21st June Written examinations (during normal school day): Grade 6 Mathematics, Grade 7 English, Grade 8 Languages.
Tuesday 21st June, 19:00 Grade 8 Graduation.
Thursday 23rd June, 12:00 End of academic year.

Mathematics Success Again


For the second successive year an Ambrit team won the RISA mathematics competition for the middle schools of international schools in Rome.

Peer Leader Team


The Grade 8 Peer Leader team has started its work. Following training by the school counsellor, the mentors visit younger children in classes further down the school and assist with any problems or disputes they may have.

Grade 6 Umbria Trips




All three of our grade 6 classes had a wonderful time exploring Umbria as part of their three day trip studying the medieval way of life. They visited the towns of Assisi, Bevagna and Todi and painted ceramic plates in Deruta.

Student Council



The student council is a representative forum for our international student body. It exists to promote and organise activities that interest and involve the school community. In addition it is involved in many charitable causes.

MATHEMATICS SUCCESS




Congratulations to the Grade 8 pupils who recently competed at a mathematics competition at St. George's School. Out of 24 teams from 8 international schools, one of Ambrit's teams came first.

Well done to all the pupils who participated: Nicolas, Zhaoyuan, Maita, Nigel, Cecile, John, Eleonora, Rosa and Giancarlo.

Football in Portugal



Ambrit took two teams to the Mediterranean Cup for International Schools, held in Portugal. Both teams did tremendously well, with one reaching the final, which they narrowly lost on penalties.
